구글 앱스에 VoIP기능 추가, 어바이어와 협력

최근에 Google Apps Premium 버전이 공개되었다는 소식을 접했다.
Google Apps에서 제공하는 기본 기능을 살펴보면..

어바이어가 Google Apps에 VoIP를 추가한다는 발표가 있었다.
정식으로 Google Apps와 연동된 어바이어 솔루션은 올 연말에나 출시가 가능할 것이라고 하는데,
어바이어는 기존 IP Office 제품군을 통합 것이라고 한다.

이에 앞서 마이크로소프트와 노텔도 VoIP에 대한 협력을 발표했는데, 아직은 가시적인 성과가
나오지 않고 있는 듯 하다.

여튼 구글은 VoIP와 관련해서 내부적으로는 Google Talk에서 제공하는 IP-to-IP에 대한 지원 외에
공식적인 서비스를 제공하지 않는다는 전략으로 보이고, 기존 PSTN과의 연동은 어바이어와 같은
기존 VoIP솔루션 업체와의 제휴를 통해 진행할 것으로 예상된다.

중소기업 유저를 상대로 구글은 Google Apps Premium을 출시하고, 마이크로소프트는 MS Office
Live를 출시했는데, 여기에 통신 수단으로서 VoIP를 어떻게 적용할 지 앞으로 지켜봐야겠다.
